The Science Museum is located at 120 W. Kellogg Boulevard, across from the RiverCentre in downtown St. Paul. The Science Museum’s parking ramp accepts all major credit cards. Rates subject to change.
The museum offers a variety of temporary and permanent exhibits with lots of fun hands-on activities and and Omnitheater presentations.
The Big Back Yard’s hands-on exhibits and miniature golf course illustrate landscape evolution, river dynamics, and biodiversity. In addition, this outdoor gallery features a prairie maze, gardens, a camera obscura, and an award-winning solar-powered building.
Top off your trip to the Science Museum with a visit to the National Park Service’s Mississippi River Visitor Center. Located just inside the museum’s Kellogg Boulevard entrance, the Visitor Center is staffed by rangers from the National Park Service who will share information about the 72-mile corridor called the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and offer tips on canoe trips, biking and hiking trails, and more. See exhibits about river biology, culture, and history. And browse through a wide-selection of merchandise relating to the river and to the United States’ National Park System.
